What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? AZ

Have a situation with a cousin who is currently going through a divorce. They have a son together and do not go to court till late March to address their divorce and a number of issues regarding their son. They had a verbal agreement for both of them to split time taking their son and it was working as well as it could considering the volatility of their relationship. Recently, my cousin discovered that even though his son was trying to recover from a cold his wife had been taking their son each morning to daycare without his jacket. The other day the son had to be taken to the emergency room with a high fever and was diagnosed with pneumonia. He was eventually released and naturally a long argument took place. At the end of the argument, his wife stated that he would not see his son till they went to court over a month from now. He definitely doesn't want that to happen and is looking for any legal options he can access. Anyone have options/advice?

Legally he has equal rights if the child was born during a marriage HOWEVER with that being said the best thing for him to do is email his ex if possible and state something like, I would like to see my son even though you said you wouldn't let me see him before the hearing. When can I pick him up?

Wait for an answer from her and then take that answer to court and present to the judge. Judges do NOT like it when adults play games with the children as the pawns.
