What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? IL

There was a change in zoning of my property and I never knew. When I originally signed the contract for my home to be built(new construction) the lot description was only the lot number. When I closed on my house nobody notified me of any changes in zoning. I noticed this when the city began building a fenced in area for utilities or sewer and saw that it was on part of my property, or what I thought was supposed to me my property. I called the city and they gave me all the paperwork that was filed in order to legally change my boundries. When I looked back at my paperwork from closing I have a sketch of my property and measurements at what it was supposed to be originally;the change is not on that either. What do I do?, if there's anything I can do. The oridinance of the change became effective a few weeks after we closed.
Please Help!

**A: your issues are way to specific and complex for an internet website review. You need to hire a specialist real estate attorney.

What exactly does the ordinance say?
Get a survey and then post back with what it shows as well as what the ordinance says. What "paperwork" did the city have you sign?

I disagree. I don't think he needs to incur the cost of a survey in order to establish the proper zoning information. There are far less expensive ways to acquire evidence of zoning.
