What is the name of your state? GA

Most of you know my situation with my X and me being pregnant....we broke up on bad terms and I told him not to contact me and my father told him not to call the house anymore....

Well today while I was at school, he called back demanding to know how 'his' baby was doing...dad did not tell him anything and told him not to call back....we are going to talk to the sheriff's dept. and see if they can call him and legally warn him (again) not to call back...is there anything else I need to do.

Do you speak to his family at all? There's nothing wrong with letting him know the baby is progressing fine & is healthy...or a copy of ultrasound going to his Mom/Family, etc.

no his family is in VA...i don't speak to him because we broke up on bad terms and his friends and him have threatened to take my child, and it's just more stress on me if i do

Then maybe Dad &/or police can ask him to stop calling again...and remind him he'll be notified when baby is born.

Legally? No. But why wouldn't you? He is the baby's father. You'll have to notify him eventually to establish Paternity, Custody/Visitation & Child Support.

I'm sure that sounds bad to some of you, but honestly, where my X is concerened, I fear for my safety...

Yes I chose to have sex and I got pregnant, and now I'm dealing with the concequences...

But I feel it is my own and my child's best interests that everything be done with the X through the courts, that way I have limited contact with him.

He stated that he would 'take' the baby and raise it and so honestly, I want everything done legally and have everything in writing...

I will do everything I am asked concerning paternity and visitation but honestly, would rather talk to him with lawyers/legal officials present....

And until the baby is born, that is a good way to proceed. However - you are over stressing and HAVE to find some positive within Dad. He will have visitation time and you cannot stress out for 18 years.

I would imagine that HE is feeling some concerns as well. He has no control and that is hard to a Dad. You never know, he may turn out to be a great Dad.

just thought i would update everyone on my situation:

We contacted our sherriff's department about my X calling and the officer we spoke to told us that if he or anymore of his friends called back to give them a call and they would file a report. He also called the phone X called from and told them NOT to EVER call this house and to have X call them in the next 24 hours...

what'll happen if he doesn't IDK but the cop did say that I didn't have to give X any info, and basically he'll have to go to the courts and prove the baby is his, (which I already knew, it just soothes me to hear it again)....

they also said he was pretty stupid to be claiming it already bc there's no proof that it's his...lol...anyway just thought i'd update everyone...
