What is the name of your state? GA

I know I'm not very liked on this site but I have a legal valid question about child support. I pay my husband's child support. The order was established in Jan. 2008. I paid the first payment, now the mother is refusing to accept anymore payments from us. She learned the I'm now expecting a child from her ex, so I guess she's mad and states she can take care of her child alone. The checks are written out to her in her name and in the memo section of the check, I wrote child support payment for the month of Feb. 2008. If she tries to change her mind and say we didn't pay her can I present all the checks written to her when she refused payment as evidence of us paying the mother her child support?

cs isn't going through CSEA?

he should either ask csea to process the payments (to cover is butt) or if she doesn't want his support and she is on no assistance- they can certainly request the court drop the support order or make the support order zero

Wow, Kim sounds better and better. She is rejecting child support paid by you because she found out you are expecting a baby? You should thank your lucky stars that your wife's ex is such a good person.

That being said, it still needs to be paid since there is a court order. Fair's suggestion is a great idea.

payment is received when the check is cashed. The check itself is not worth anything.

You need to continue to set those funds aside, even if she doesn't cash the check. I would also file a motion to have child support sent through the clearinghouse. Let them deal with it.

Besides, she will get over being mad as soon as she can't pay the rent. Funny how that works.

she receive 150 a month from us for her infant child. I agree she need to get over the fact that I'm pregnant and married to her ex now:rolleyes:

my husband hand her the check and she simply say "no thank you..you keep it because you will need it for the new baby and more problems"

she was actually CONTINUING to help you. That is what gets you in trouble. The fact that you NEVER know when to stop.

Now. apologize to Zephyr.

No I'm not apologizing. How was she continuing to help me by saying" Why are you still talking". I was just making a comment, she didn't have to get nasty with me first.
