What is the name of your state? work in NJ live in PA

I just found out (not officially) that the small company I work for is going to file for bankruptcy. I don't have any more details then that. It has quite a debt load and has laid off half its work force in the last month, so this is not a big surprise. The owner is continuing to operate the company as if he plans to reorganize and not just go out of business.

Can you recommend a source for information on the rights of hourly employees during a period of reorganization?

There isn't any rights for employees during a reorg unless it falls under the WARN Act. Since you work for a small company and more than likely it is less than a 100 people, that wouldn't apply either.
