What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

I've been divorced for a while and I'm getting to know a divorced women in VietNam and she already had a son (5 years old). If I get married with her and bring she and her son to US and later for some reason I will divorce her and wonder if I will have to pay child support to her child in addition to the spousal support. Can I put every thing down in the Prenuptial Agreement that I will not pay child support to her child or the law will enforce me to do so?

Thanks.

Unless you adopt the child, the child is not yours to support.

You absolutely should have a prenuptial agreement, if there is a large disparity in incomes or assets. IMHO.

However, if you are a sponsor to someone entering the US, you may have a financial responsibility AS SPONSOR (rather than as parent/step-parent).

but if you're contemplating the possibility of divorce before she ever gets here, do her and her child a HUGE favor, and don't bring them here. Let them be where their family is, amongst their culture.

To bring her here with her child and then divorce her, would be a grave injustice to her.

For what it's worth, I agree wholeheartedly with Old and Tired, however, this is probably best posted in the Immigration forum.
