What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

Is a persons civil rights violated if he continues to be imprisoned past their release date?

How much is a person compensated (per day) for being in custody past their custody date?

Is there a difference of being compensated between being in state or federal custody ?

If there is what’s the difference?

I believe your about right give or take, I thought it was closer to $ 125.00 a day.

But that's not my problem, my problem is that I lost the actual citation that supports $ 125.00 claim, if it comes to that.
