Cutting to the chase here, however, the poster's daughter was not denied a passport because she was delivered by a midwife; she was denied a passport because the midwife and/or parents failed to certify the birth correctly.

Yes, through the department of vital statistics.

yes the DOS does state a certified BC just as well they also state Secondary Evidence if no certified BC exists. The Secondary Evidence of Citizenship is a family bible, a Baptismal Certificate, Letter of No Record, etc. The birth was not reported by anyone else for a "State Certified BC" to Vital Statistics because I had to get a "Letter of No Record" from them. I am being discriminated because I refused to register my child into the system as the government property.

Good job at making your kid's future complicated. She's pretty much like an illegal alien now, congrats to that accomplishment. I'm sure she'll be VERY grateful for that .

Discrimination on this basis is not illegal.

There are citizens who regard social security numbers, on religious grounds, as the "mark of the beast" (Amish for example)
I am old enough to have a social security card with the promise made by the federal government printed on it "For social security purposes ---NOT for identification" (pre 1962)
Some may be legitimately hiding from a former abusive spouse, a stalker, poperotzee etc

The reason for not getting a BC or SS card are for religious reason, as well as I am a Sovereign. I am not hiding from anyone. My husband and I both were present when we applied for our daughter passport. I know there are remedies in the law for individuals like us and I am well aware that most would not understand as well as question my decisions. But my husband and I knows the battles ahead of us so we are always ready for attacks and denials but this is the path that we have chosen for our self as well as our children because in the end we will succeed.

Yet you're looking for US laws to protect/aid you?

This presents something of a paradox.

(and no, I'm not talking about a pair of quacking birds)

Please explain yourself. If you don't recognize the US as your country, then I suggest that you apply for a passport from a country that you do recognize as your country.

yeah, i would just get all nativity documents certified by a notary with the seal of the state stamped on them. Now, you have an officially certified state birth/nativity certificate.

or

i woud notify them to do their job and follow the regulations, as the family and witness are in fact members of the Organic State and we certify the childs nativity, so whats the issue?

Oh thank you for that information, I did had the BC notarized but without and Apostle. My next step was the state certificate (the state Apostle) but apply at a different Passport agency in a different state maybe a common wealth sate.

You must not have read the part where a notary cannot certify a birth certificate. Only the Department of Vital Statistics can certify a birth certificate.

The person who notarized your birth certificate broke the law.

Just to be clear. Dillon is the LAST person you want to be taking advice from. He's in the running for one of the top two quacks in this thread!

My question to the OP is if she doesn't want the government knowing about her child why does she need a passport? This OP apparently doesn't like the law as she won't be filing taxes properly (need a SS for that) and won't be enrolling the child in school and won't be... should I continue?
