What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California.

I know of a woman who has adopted 3 of her daughters children. She receives a subsidy for each of them. One of the children has not lived with her for 5 years. Up until 17 months ago she has paid these people to care for the child. Since she has not paid in 17 months for the childs care, I would like to know what the penalties would be if she were turned in.

Anyhelp would be greatful. Thank you.

I want to know what difference the penalties make.

It's either wrong, or it's not.

I get the impression that the bio-mom of the kids and the mom of the kids (formerly the grandma) have had a falling out.

So I take it you people just troll these sites to start crap. I am looking for information. That is all. If you don't have an answer to the question then why reply at all.

A decision will be made based on information. It is easy to just turn said person in, but what about what happens to the child? That is who is most important in this situation and the parties involved want to make sure that any decision will have the childs best interest at heart.

Know that the people who cared for this child did so not wanting any help or money. They love this child as if it were there own, but was taken from them out of anger. They have cared for this child since she was 7 weeks old. The grandmother ruined all 4 of her own children and has absolutly no parenting skills. I have also witnessed this. She is verbally abusive and does not watch them when in her care. They are allowed to do whatever they want. And they usually get injured as a result.

This is just one of many questions needing answers before action will be taken. There is nothing wrong with this. So if you can contribute in a positive way please reply.

Okay. You just want a "positive answer". I'll bite. Please feel free to pay an attorney to help you. Please understand said attorney will likely ask you "Who are YOU in this situation"? And "Why can't the legally relivent person/s ask their own question?"

Have a nice day.

Why are you even on here if you can't give answers to questions people ask? It makes no sense to me. It is obvious that you only post to start arguments. It is pathetic, but whatever. I too can be childish. So here you go .!.. ..!. And with that, I will try and find a forum with more intelligence than the total ingnorance on this one. Feel free to post more unhelpful garbage. It seems to be all you can do. Great job!

And as far as wanting positive answers. It beats getting a question upon my question and two morons assuming something. And then you chimed in becoming the greatest dumbass of all.

I have access to many attorneys, but was just looking to find answers without having to go that route. Free access to 1000's of attorneys is a great benefit from UPS.

I guess I should have just asked: What is the penalty for adoption subsidy fraud? Maybe then I would have gotten a straight answer.

Seriously, OP - questions are asked when the original post does not provide adequate information. If you aren't interested in answering those questions - here or elsewhere - your only option will be to pay an attorney. Who will ask the same questions.

If you can set aside your snarkiness for a minute, you'd realize that in order to answer your question, sometimes more information is needed.

If you ask: "What day of the week does Thanksgiving fall on?" there is a simple answer. If you ask "what can I do about situation xyz?", then it may require clarification of some issues. Very rarely does family law stuff come down to a simple 'yes or no' answer - and even when it does it often requires a good bit of detail.

So if you don't want to answer the questions, then go pay an attorney for help (although the attorney will ask the same questions and charge you $300+ per hour).
