What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? texas

ive been with my husband for 4 years now and since ive met him, hes had this ongoing custody case with his ex girlfriend. they have 2 children together (1 boy 1 girl). i personally dont know the girl nor have i ever met her. now they r trying to build a case on the mother of the children trying to prove that she is an unfit mother. my husbands mother is the main source to this case. he doesnt seem to be very into it as much as his mother does. his mother has witnesses lined up ( who by the way have never seen the children or met the mother to even recolect an asumption) they spend so much money on a lawyer who i think is just dragging the case out as long as possible. ive been around sinnce the kids were 3 and 2 and since then i as a mother myself, have not seen anything wrong with the way his ex parents her children. they r now 7 and 6.

my question is: is this whole case a waste of time as well as money and does it even have the slightest possibililty of winning??

The question is moot.

Nobody can answer that question because nobody here knows the parties. Based on what you describe it doesn't sound like your husband has much of a chance, but we cannot make that kind of prediction.

I just might suggest that if you want to keep harmony and peace in your home that you completely stay away from the situation. Especially since can already see how influential his mother is (at least when it comes to him she is).

Good point...grandma would not be pleased if the OP managed to talk her husband out of continuing on with the case.
