Do I have to have a lisence

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? I live in Michigan!
Dhs placed my nephew in my home after he was born because the parents could not bring him home.the parents have ask me to adopt their baby who I have had since he was 2 days old. My question is do I have to have my lisence process complete to finalize the adoption? How long does it take for the process to take. I have already passed my home study and working on lisence to be a foster home. plus the baby has already been with me since he was 2 days old he is now 6 months old.

You would need to speak with DHS to answer your questions regarding the licensing.

As for the time for adoption...you will want an attorney.
