I am an adult adoptee born in and currently living in MA. My birthmother and the man she claims to be my birthfathe were both married at the time I was conceived. However, my supposed birthfather denied being the father so my birthmother's husband at the time put his name on the birth certificate. (It has already been proven the he is not my biological father.) I was adopted and the man my birthmother claims to be my birthfather does not know I exist.

I am now an adult with two young children of my own, both of whom have health issues. I want to confirm that this man is my biological father for the purpose of getting medical history. Is there any way that I can have a court ordered DNA test done to confirm that he is so that I can get this information? I don't need to find who he is because I have his name and know where to find him. I just don't know if I have any legal ground to get a DNA test done?

No. As an adult, you have no legal way to force an unrelated stranger to take a paternity test.

Your only hope is to ask nicely. If he absolutely refuses, there is an outside chance that if he has siblings that they might volunteer to help. The testing would be far more expensive, more difficult, and less certain, but it might demonstrate a relationship. But that's probably a waste of time.
