What is the name of your state (only r U.S. law)? CA

My brother has had RX drug issues, in the past. The past couple of months he has been getting a lot of mail at my house. He lives on a boat and I am guessing hospital admissions are requiring an actual, physical address. EVERY day he gets between 5 and 10 pieces of mail. They all appear to be bills and they are from what seems like every hospital, emergency medial group and radiology group in Southern CA. I have not opened any mail and I have given it all to him. I have been keeping a log with dates and return addresses of all this mail. I really do not appreciate being tied to this mess. I have children in my home and I never gave him consent to use my address.

It is pretty obvious to me that he is doctor shopping. Is this something the police even care about? Would they bother investigating if I gave them my log?

Soliciting multiple doctors isn't, in itself, a criminal offense - so the police aren't going to care that he is doing it, nor are they going to even entertain any kind of complaint about it. He is free to consult or see just about any doctor he chooses, as many as he chooses.

It's ALSO not a criminal offense to use your physical address for his mail. You are NOT being tied to this mess in any way except for the fact that you continue to allow him to use your address to receive his mail. Simply write "RETURN TO SENDER, Addressee not at this address" on each piece of mail, and give it right back to the postal carrier, and then tell your brother to stop using your address for his mail.
