Hey, Antigone! Catch!

I'd help you wash the car but. . . .

. . . trying to think of an excuse ... backing away slowly ...

Don't you just love how SPAMMERS come in and try to start "informational conversations" on subject matter that is near and dear to their... advertising subject matter?

As for the canned SPAM... That stuff generally has WAY too much salt for my taste. The plain stuff, even when fried in a crispy patty, is a bit much for me. However, give me the Turkey SPAM variety any day - and TWICE on Sunday - and I'm a happy camper.

Nope, I'm fresh out of SPAM of any sort.

HAHAHA I just made a funnie... SPAM and fresh obviously don't belong in the same sentence. :D:D:D

As sad as posts like these are, what's worse is they are still more coherent than many of the posts provided by the "usual gang of idiots" who respond to people here without knowing what they are talking about.

We do have a formal name for them. They belong to the FAVI Society;)

I bet the emblems on their leather jackets are pretty.

I can't help but think, though, that "The FA Violet Iguana Society" sounds much too nice for that particular group.

(unless I guessed wrong on the "V" and the "I," and the letters stand for something totally different)

A simple opinion shared has created so much hype! All I wanted to say was we still have so many advertisements (cannot mention names) which DO MISLEAD people. They do not fulfill the claims they make. And if you say that the products react differently from person to person, then that is not mentioned anywhere on my shampoo bottle. And for all those who think this was or is spam post, I am sorry to disappoint you all but its not. It was a genuine concern on an issue I faced personally. It was like everyone was waiting for some fodder to comment on and blame it to be spam! Mocking someone cant help, but helping them understand some issue better could be a polite thing to do.

Okay.

If you insist on making glue out of the poor horse, let's try to put this into perspective shall we?

X brand of face cream is NOT going to make you look like Cindy Crawford.

Y shampoo will not give you Penelope Cruz's locks.

See, there are these little things called "genes" (and I don't mean the ones you can buy at The Gap). These little "gene" thingies control An Awful Lot of our physical attributes. We cannot change our basic genetic makeup (and by "makeup", I don't mean Pure Minerals foundation). Now a decent hair colourist and stylist can create a certain look - but they can't change the basic reality. Same with face creams and Pure Minerals.

The sooner you accept this, Nancy, the happier you will be.

:D
