It really has been a while, I'm pretty sure.

So, "Teach"... I see you were here an hour after my last post... No response? Guess what we all suspect is true.
For some reason when i tried to post the reply last night i got a 'this message must be approved by a moderator before being approved'
Basically, since i've been in and out of court 4-5 times over the last 6yrs to work on my custody and parenting time case in NY and you said you had some info on NY, i looked up your first post. I believe it had something to do with child support, which i've studied extensively for NY, since i've never been ordered i want to make sure that what is paid (by her OR me) is the right amount...

Not REALLY with child support, i mean, "You never know what you don't know" and NYS Child Support is a bit iffy with the 'extras' being at the judges disgression, but Child Support i know enough to be able to answer most if not 99% of questions.
BTW: Did you move the children away from your ex first or did your ex move away from his children first? I do have some questions about how 'move away' friendly NY is, that i think you maybe able to help with.

How did your children deal with their father moving away? Did they feel abandoned? Have you noticed any weakening of their relationship because of the reduced contact ability?
I could never move away for selfish reasons, I'd feel like i abandoned my child and the happiest part of my day is when i see her. I don't think i could go more then a couple days without that.

In fact, I think NY is one of the LEAST friendly states for move-aways.
You aren't kidding about that. Even the counties within aren't very move-friendly, some of them. I was trying to convince my coworker of this, who was trying to push me into transferring to another workplace hours away, but she refused to believe that the chances of it being allowed are slim to none, since after all, she knows everything
