Ok thank you. Someone suggested that we ask for some legal advice on the matter to know our rights. Now I know.

A sister of the deceased generally has very few "rights" over the wife of the deceased. That is the legal reality.

But it never hurts to ask questions. The answers are what sometimes hurts.
