What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

The state the divorce was filed is New Mexico. We were married in Texas.

My ex-husband hand altered our divorce decree.

What can I do if my ex-husband had altered my spousal support in the divorce decree after the divorce was final. I have never been asked to sign any other documents concerning the divorce. He got away with not paying me 6 months of spousal support.
When I saw the copy that the
Clerk's office had, I was shocked that they it go through. He had drew a line through the amounts and switched the dates so the lesser amount fell on the 1st and the bigger amount on the
15th. He then changed the length of time, from 1 1/2 yrs
To 1 YEARS! He used whiteout that I could see and feel. What can I do?

Do you have your original copy?

No, it was sent to my daughter's house, and she said couldn't find it. That's why drove back to New Mexico. I went to the clerk's office. My daughter lost the papers on purpose, and THAT is a whole other sick twisted part of this mess.

Do I have a good chance of getting my back support he owes me? May I ask him to also pay me for pain and suffering? When he stopped payment, I couldn't make my car payments, it was repossessed, so I had no way to get to and from work, with no job I lost my apartment...
