I am a us citizen who has never resided for the 2 year qualifying period in the USA, nor was i born in the country. My son is now 10 and i want to consider the application for him being a citizen. I am married to a non US citizen. My mother was born in New York and resided in the USA till 24 years old. I have read in great detail and arrived at Form N 600k of which i fall short of the criteria having not resided in the USA for a 2 year period. Any advice much appreciated

thanks

Your mother's presence would also qualify your child (see item 5 in the instructions): https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/n-600kinstr.pdf?download=1

ETA: see also https://www.uscis.gov/n-600k
