1. I made a video showing me sneaking backstage at a rap concert using a fake press pass.
2. I did so by convincing a VIP guest to give me his all-access band
3. I also told people I was part of the press (I had a fake ID from a well-known media company)
4. I filmed me talking to some celebrities using this disguise
5. I didn't say anything malicious; the celebrities said nothing malicious on film either

Purpose of video: Social experiment to show all you need is confidence to get somewhere

Can I get in trouble with anyone? Maybe the venue or the management of the celeb? Security threatened to stab me

It depends what you intend to do with the video, but most likely nothing is going to come of this other than you being on the blacklist for any other events.

People have crashed celebrity events in the past. If you are caught at the event, you are escorted out by security. If you are not caught but you publicize your stunt, you will probably never get past security again. And the VIP guest if his identity is disclosed will probably not be welcomed as a VIP guest again.

It IS a crime to make and use fake ID, though, so if the media outlet whose credentials you faked wanted to press the issue, they could file a complaint with the police.

Some YouTubers have been getting sued for trespassing. Could this be a charge?

Someone who uses a fake pass to gain access to an event could be charged with trespassing. Sure.

For really big events, trying to get into the venue using a fake press pass would probably not be possible. These events not only have good security, the event organizers generally issue their own event-specific press passes to the media that apply for one. These passes are then checked against a list of those who were issued passes. ID is checked before entry is allowed.

But it is not unheard of for people to sneak into special events (even White House dinners). Because there is a very real risk of getting caught and arrested, though, most people do not attempt it.
