I disagree. I would much rather see a client having issues since they are often facing negative changes in their life rather than a prosecutor who is supposed to be a fair party. Aggressive is not exclusive of being fair. . If he lies like this for something as simple as this, what would he be willing to do to win a case? I can only imagine and nothing I imagine is what you want a prosecutor to stoop to to win.

And that is what a lot of the local defense attorneys are all thinking at this point. This was EASILY proven due to the security camera. But this woman could have lost her job or faced criminal charges if that tape didn't exist.

I imagine the prosecutor will be facing negative changes in his life.

The prosecutor has been exposed as a liar (or an exaggerator extraordinaire) which, even if his honesty was not in question in previous cases, can limit his effectiveness in court now.

It appears to me he has weeded out a bad guy in the prosecutor's office. He just happens to be the bad guy he weeded out.

That depends if he is actually fired or the prosecutor's office just reassigns him.

I suggest all the court workers in the area mount a shame campaign. Everybody send him a pansy with a note: for our special little flower.

Obviously it must be anonymous lest he sue for IIED or harassment.

I would, personally, send him a picture of a cat.

I cannot see how he would not be fired. His claims were so outrageous and had such potential for harm.

I know. Every day I turn on the news and think I can't be shocked. Sadly I am disappointed. One more shooting, one more sex assault and one more tweet.

This was all known beginning of november. He still works there. The article appeared yesterday. If tired it will be because of the negative publicity and not his actions

Ah. I didn't notice the dates.

Well ... good for negative publicity then, if it works to remove him.

I generally do not like to judge without all of the facts but, if the video is in fact of the incident that led to the prosecutor's claims, it seems pretty clear there was no assault, intentional or otherwise.

I don't think he realized he was DIRECTLY in front of the video camera. We all know there are cameras in the courthouse but none of us have actually mapped them out nor do we normally care that much.

Because we are under some sort of surveillance pretty much wherever we go nowadays, it is easy to forget there are cameras watching and recording us. These cameras may not always work to deter crime but the recordings can sure make for nice evidence if someone is captured committing one.
