Again, you are NOT a "party" to the case...you are a witness.
Sufou may find s/he is asked to step outside the courtroom during part of the hearing. I hope Sufou and the mom are prepared for that possibility.

Okay. You really need to say more than "application." You will need to say "interpreter," too.
Good luck.

Yes, the Court Clerk told me they will ask me after I say 'Application', they will ask application for what...Interpreter and I need to ammend the amount. and yes I am a party to the case. and not just cause I am her Agent. I'm not going into details on here. and to the one saying that the Court may ask me to step outside, that would be fine with Myself and My Mom as long as she has her Interpreter. There seems to be some hostility and arrogance on this thread.
There are things that, actually many things, that will come back to me. My Mom may have some knowledge of them but considering it involved myself, and a few other peoples, she can not speak for those circumstances. It falls on me. I am the one with the correspondences, legal document rejected by LL, etc... One of the claimants deceived the CourtMan/Arbitra/, not sure what the Man is called professionally, he is the one who sat behind the Court Room Desk, heard a bit from claimants and gives another Court Date for those who Requested 'By The Court', she deceived him by announcing herself as her roomate. My Mom is elderly, mini stroke, and won't know to tell the Judge, if she tries to deceive him. I hope the 'claimants' are prepared to explain that, I believe that would fall under perjury or contempt of court.
You CANNOT "speak on her behalf". You are a WITNESS. If I were the other party, I would request that you not be allowed to be a translator - she needs to ask that one be assigned (as was pointed out above.)
Even though I am party to the Case, in NY city they allow 'Lay Representatives'.
I was not rude to anyone, they were to me. I simply observed hosility and arrogance and expressed it, that is not rudeness. Thank you. I am watching YouTube videos. My mom is elderly and ill, I have said it quite a few times. She can not travel unless absolutely necessary, thank you.You are named on the complaint as a party?
Whatever the case, the interpreter will translate all questions and answers for your mother so she will understand what is being said and so others will know what she is saying. Your mother will need to speak for herself through the interpreter, however. You will not be able to speak for her.
It might make your future court appearance more comfortable for you and your mother if you spend some time in court to watch how the judge who will be hearing your case operates.
Please do not be rude to members of this forum. Thank you.
Good luck.
If you are named in the suit, you are a party to the suit. If only your mother (the landlord) is named in the suit, you are not a party to the suit - this even if you handled all of the landlord duties for your mother.
You probably would benefit from sitting down with a legal professional at a legal aid clinic in your area. I am not sure a legal forum can provide you with more assistance, especially since you are reluctant (and wisely so) to disclose too much online.
Good luck to your mother.
Your problems go far beyond the scope of a legal forum.
....I may be asked to step out of the CourtRoom but I will always be by her side...I hope you 'quincy' are prepared to deal with that, that there are ones who actually do care about their elderly parent.

Junior Member, you would not do well in a Court Room, for you do not read nor perceive very well. I never asked to be Translator for my Mom.
Why are you responding to your own posts?
Told by whom?
Yours doesn't seem so great either, honestly.
Is this in NYC?
