What is the name of your state? Sister left me stranded in little own on way home from seeing our dad. My uncle had paid for our trip food and etc. She pocketed the money I paid for our food and etc. Then we get in fight on way home and she leaves Me in a town with nothing. Had pay a guy to take me from boron to Barstow Cali Had to pay two extra nites in hotels plus food and missed 3 more days work. Can i take her to small claims court?

Yes.You can sue your sister to recover the money given you by your uncle to finance the trip.

That was a really lousy (and dangerous) thing for your sister to do.

IT ma be lousy and dangerous dumb thing formsis to d... ....but I doubt your inconveniences and loss off work are recoverable ...and it might be tha 1/2 of what uncle gave you were for her expenses and 1/2 for you...and in that sense she only pocketed 1/2 unfairly .

Sometimes small claims are a bit informal ...you can file for as much as makes sense ...and hope the judge weighs her foul play against her
..but don't bet the ranch on a big $ award .

Small claims cases are not for big dollar damages so there will not be big dollar awards.

I’m guessing the op is from California and since they were riding together the sister is as well. Small claims limit is $7500. While not BIG$, that is a pretty good chunk of change. About 134 pounds if it is in current dollar coins.

Well ... if you insist on collecting your damages in COINS then, yes, that can be a hefty award. :)

Google and my handy dandy calculator. A dollar coin weighs 8.1 grams per the US mint. That’s 60,750 grams for 7500 of them. At 453.592 grams per pound it works out to be just under 134 pounds.

And yes, boredom can cause one to wander mentally.
I honest to GOD don't think I would ever be so bored that I would do the math on that....but whatever floats your boat!! :D

In $100 bills it could weigh less than a pound.

My preference.
At 1 gram per note that would be correct. 75 notes would weigh 75 grams or about 2 2/3 ounces.

Of course that doesn’t take into consideration the dirt, oil, and drug residue that is on a note once it’s been in circulation.

I am thinking there must have been a lot of drug residue on your bills. :)
