What is the name of your state?Georgia

Is it worth it to hire an attorney to find out if a person forged my signature on his application for a professional license without my legal permission and without me signing any forms/docs/applications?
2). Will an attorney be able to help to find out if my information and my signature were used without my knowledge/consent/permission?
3). If it was used then is is worth proceeding with legal actions against that person?

Thank you.

For what reason was your name forged?

What damage have you suffered as a result?

1).My name and signature possibly were used by a person to obtain a professional license.

2). I did not give any legal permission to use my name, to sign on my behalf any documents...

To what end? How have you been harmed?
Possibly used? How did this come to your attention?

The person worked for my company for 3 years and started with 0 experience. The requirements are 4 years of experience in the field and signed referrals, so the only way he could obtain a license is to either forge my signature or use somebody else as a referrals, my suspicion is that he used my info and signature without my consent. How it came to my attention is another employee asked if I knew that that former employee received a license..

Suspicions alone cannot support a lawsuit. You potentially could report your suspicion to the licensing board.

You should wait then for the response.

I do not see that you have suffered any harm. Have you?
So if it doesn't harm, you can forge anybody's signature, use their personal information however you want because it doesn't harm... well that's I guess the way it is, unfortunately...
Thank you anyway!

Forgery can be charged as a crime. But in order to sue the fellow you need to show compensable harm. It does not necessarily have to be economic harm.

How have you been harmed by his forging of your name? You need to have an answer for that question before you proceed with any lawsuit.
