    Sol

when I looked it up on Equifax (I bought the 3/$29.99), it said that in Jan. 01, it was 30 days past due. I was told, that the clock starts ticking, as it relates to SOL, after that. There were no payments made after Dec. of 00. Hope this makes sense.

What is the name of your state? TX I was just notified by a collection company that my case will be taken to court if not paid (I believe them). Here is the catch, the statute is up at the end of this year. Could I arrange small monthly payments, then after my 4 year statute is up in December...

Getting it in writing - when they won't!

My debt with AMEX amounts to just under $4K. It has sat for 3 years without me making any payments. They have recently sent me a letter for a settlement offer for 25% of the balance. After doing some research, I decided that I didn't want to take that because I want to pay it off and have it...

    Settlement Offer....

Treat this like you're buying a car. Would you take the first offer a car dealer makes?? I hope not. Tell them you'll start the payment process after you get paid, and forget all the 23% interest crap. Remember, these scums want your money..they don't want to go to court. Make them a FAIR...
