What is the name of your state? MO

Received a letter from the lawyer who is handling the case against me offering me a monthly (150.00) payment plan till the debt is paid.

Im a very interested in getting this paid and out of my worry box so I can move on to other debts that I need to get taken care of.

Questions though. From what I gather from the letter, I would need to sign and return it to them by the 6th, as long as I keep up the 150 a month payments by the date they will *allegedly* not garnish my pay check etc.

However a default judgement will be filed against me for the debt.

The only problem I have is I dont get paid till the 9th which is when I would be able to give them 150.

I will try and give em a call and see if the due date can be pushed back a few days but is this the same that would happen if I went to court and worked out a payment plan.

Seems if I just do it this way and it's pretty feasible to my budget I wont have to go to court etc etc.

The amount is for 2284 + court costs and a 23.99% interest per anum since 08/02.

Should I just wait to go to court for this or is this pretty much the same thing that'l most likely happen in court.

Hope I explained it good enough.

Treat this like you're buying a car. Would you take the first offer a car dealer makes?? I hope not. Tell them you'll start the payment process after you get paid, and forget all the 23% interest crap. Remember, these scums want your money..they don't want to go to court. Make them a FAIR counter offer, and they'll gladly take it
