     employers health ins not sufficient..any advice

     What is the name of your state? Indiana Is it possible to buy a supplemental health ins plan? My employer provides health insurance, but appears to be seriously lacking, many of my co-workers complain about the plan. Can I buy a plan to supplement my employers plan? thanks

     fraud, theft, or mistake?

     I think he charged the card twice each time the card was presented. Since his cash drawer balanced (writer said the company reciepts added up each day) he probably removed cash from the drawer equal to the additional swipe.

      If he didn't write the bad checks is he repsonsible?

      the collection agency is "Asset Acceptance Corporation" seems they are one of Edelmen and combs most wanted list for unethical practices. No they don't have the checks, they don't even know when they were written. He didn't know to ask for proof, like copies of the checks.

      thanks Jetx I researched Ind site concerning checks, it does not appear there is a SOL for this either. This poor guy still has children with this woman, and he just had brain surgery about 2 weeks ago. So he'd either have to sue the mother of his children (already bad blood there) or cough...

      What does the BK law provide?

      Cyanna I did have a lawyer, but he's absolutely useless, seems once he got my money that was the end of service. I am working with my states attorney generals office, and it appears they do get attention from the bank and the CRA's. Julie

      kwalla I've been in contact with the CRA's for 5 months, they don't do squat, and it is CMRRR, not CRRR. Cut and dried, unlesss you sue they do what they want, there is nothing to stop them unless you take them to court.

Unfortunately being before a judge and saying "well anadude said it is erased" does not have the gravity...

      is there a legal precedence for "open" or "closed" on an account?

      I'm still working on this problem. I have letters from two accounts stating they are closed. I have not received replies from the rest of the CC that I wrote to asking explicitly if they are "open".
