If you told your employer,did they have you fill out a incident report? Also if it was work related why would you use your personal insurance? Sounds to me like your not telling the whole story.- tjr5150

In my opinion for you to take care of your sisters kids and be paid for it is between you and the workman's comp people. I also agree they have the right to have a say so in the choice of daycare. settlement after mmi is reached
You don't file for a settlement. The doctor will do an impairiment rating and based on the rating given they do some numbers and that is how your cash award or settlement is offered to you.. The doctor does the numbers and workman's comp makes the offer..- tjr5150

Postal worker falls, is it my fault?

Impairament rating question
My injury was to my ankle, tibula, 6 screws a cadavers bone put in to replace most of tibula rebroke heel to restraighten it.. and a road map of scars around my ankle,foot,and calf..lol.. back on subject, i'm not sure why the doctor had the pt do the test, is this something i should confront him...- tjr5150

Like i said i'm not %100 sure laws are different state to state. but how can a lawyer say how much it is worth without an im? or did the doctor give you an idea of what percentage she might get back? meaning did he say something like your wife will get back atleast %70 use of her hands back...- tjr5150

I don't know.. My doctor set me up with the appt. the pt had the computer and stuff to do the rating..She did not give me a number just the test for the doctor, he is doing all the numbers. never been through this part before.. Thank you..- tjr5150

I'm not %100 sure but in some states if you have fmla,vaction time, or sick time available to use the employer will use this first before workman's comp pays..18,000 per hand? no impairmwnt rating? i don't think that is the right amount of a cash award she will be offered.. it could be lower...- tjr5150

Having criminal charges brought against me
If you hurt your back? that is nothing to play around with. If your doctor say you can't do something then don't do it. On the other hand masking your pain with pills can make it worse for you- tjr5150
