What is the name of your state? Texas

13 year old wants to live with one parent all the time. currently lives in one house Monday & Tuesday - then at the other parents house on Wednesday and Thursday and then alternates between the houses everyother weekend. when is a teen old enough to say enough is enough!

In most cases I think the age is 16, but that could differ. Have you tried talking to your parents about this? That would be the best way to start, sit both of them down and talk to them, explaining how you feel.

Is it one of these cases where you are stuggleing with going to one spot for a few days and then to another spot for the next few days? I can kind of see how that could put someone your age down, always having to move around.

Or is it that you don't get along with one of your parents? Don't like the rules, or something?

The age when you can legally say where you want to live is 18.

Prior to that, a judge at a custody hearing MIGHT take your wishes into consideration but is not obligated to give you what you want.

Don't know if this advice will help but my 14 yr old sister splits time evenly with my parents by going a full week at one house, then switching. That way both parents get her an even amount of time but it isn't so disruptive to her life.

I don't know much about this, but I do know my parents divorced when I was young; sort of the same situation as you until the custodial arrangement was reviewed and I asked to speak. The judge took my wishes into such consideration that I got exactly what I wanted, which was a stable schedule and a place to call 'home'. Try talking to your parents, do you know if the arrangement is going to be reviewed at any point? Good luck...I know what it's like to be bounced around, and it isn't fun. :)
