What is the name of your state?Florida

My 16 year old daughter had a friend ,and during the course of the friendship this girl who's 19 pressured my daughter into letting her get a tattoo in her apartment.I trusted this girl with my daughter care and left her there while i went to my other daughters house. My daughter told her she didnt want it and she wanted to stop..but she did nothing .This girl lives in ohio.
Is there anything i can do?Can i press charges? Can i sue so my daughter can have plastic surgery to have this covered up?Any help would be highly appreciated.

Was your daughter physically restrained? Was she threatened and feared for her life? If she only succumbed to peer pressure, then you won't have much of a case.

yes they stood around her and told her "if she told anyone that they would find her and beat her up if she told anyone"

Kind of would be a hard case, to prove. Did your daughter tell this girl no? Did she fight or jump around while the tattoo was being put on. From what I understand getting a real tattoo on you can be very painful.

Unless your daughter was locked in the room and bound to the chair, you might not be able to do anything about it.

However, if there is an age law saying a minor needs to have parental concent, then you would have something to press charges onto this girl.

here's a web site I found about tatto laws in your state.

yes the tattoo was very painful for my daughter she was sick for 2 hours afterward and cryed .There were 4 of them and one of her 2 of them being males bigger than her 22 and 23 years old .They said it would just be worse if she didnt stop struggling. This happened while we were visiting ohio ..so do the same laws apply there? There was no way she could leave i was 3 hours away .Her hand now shakes and has shooting pains that were not there before the tattoo.(the tattoo is on the bone on her wrist ) So yes they did hold her down by both arms.

Did you file a police report for assault? I would start there if you have not.

Uuuuh, you left your 16yo girl with 19, 22, 23 and age undisclosed people? Only one of whom you knew? Ooookay.

Have you taken her to a doctor? If this was done with unclean needles, then she needs to be checked. Also, is this a "clear" tattoo. Meaning is there a very clear picture of what is supposed to be or is her skin torn up?

You'll probably have to press charges in Ohio, since that is where this happened. Otherwise call a lawyer in Florida and see what they say about the situation. Charges really should have been charged after all of this had happened. How long ago did this happen?

i plan on taking her to a doctor. This happened in Aug/sept. of 04 and she just recently told me about it but her older sister has known about it since 2 days after it happened. It's a clear tattoo ...you can tell what its supposed to be.
