And you didn't wonder WHY at ANY time that these strangers of such young ages have property, cars, money ect. in not one but two states?
I agree with the others. Something stinks. What wrist is this on? Maybe she gave it to herself and is afraid to tell you. But no matter, it's small & shouldn't cost that much to have removed by laser. Depending how deep it is, it could take a few treatments though. Tell her to get a JOB & pay for it. If we don't believe you/her what makes you think Ohio law is going to especially several months later?

these people have cars ,money and houses in florida why shouldnt she be scared?

Look, no one here can tell you what to do. All they have been doing is giving you their experienced opinion based on the information you provided. The general concensus is that your daughter's story doesn't wash. However, if you still feel strongly that your daughter is telling the truth, then contact law enforcement in Ohio and ask them if you can file a police report. I have a feeling you will find that the posters here are correct in their opinions, but at least you will have tried.

As for suing the people you left her with for removing the tat, wait and see what law enforcement's response is. If they agree that you don't have a criminal case, then a civil case will be even more difficult to win.

Good luck to you.

There's a tattoo on her WRIST, that was placed there 6-8 months ago, that you can tell what it's supposed to be - and you believe that it was coerced upon her? Sorry, but if it was my kid - I would not be buying that story.

Which is exactly why I asked the questions that I asked. Number 1: I have two tats myself and know exactly what kind of pain they can or cannot inflict. Even on the bone (I have one directly on my ankle, and a wrap around on my left arm) is not going to cause shooting pains up her arm, furthermore, if she IS having these pains, WHY have you not examined her wrist sooner? Number 2: If this was done by two brutes in a home environment, then it was most likely done improperly which could cause all sorts of infections, including Hep and HIV. In this day and age, I'm sorry, but I would have more concerned with a disease than what they could have done to me especially knowing that I would soon be going home to another state. I'm sorry, but I agree with the other posters. This is something that your daughter wanted done and is scared to tell you.

Does your child currently live with you?
You said.. yes she does, why>.. I kinda refused to answer because at that time I was bouncing off the walls of my office and my ceiling and floor wondering... but would not let me because I did not know people were so dense.. I will insulate. I know I am not making sense... blood pressure will try to take care of it later.
I have a sixteen year old.. and I am not by permission judged to interfere... and I respect her growing up... But A Gosh darn tattoo no matter what...and its obvious... OY something is wrong... such a secret from her Mother... gotta doubt something something is wrong something is wrong... okay... CSI is on... I can see they get the bad people there... just not in the suburbs.

sheesh sheesh sheesh

I completely agree with you, Your Honor, but the OP doesn't want to hear it. I have a feeling that law enforcement in Ohio is going to feel the same way, but she'll find out when she calls them. Daughter made up story so she wouldn't get in trouble with Mom for having the tattoo.

I wish I had thought of a story like that when my mother first saw my tat. It would have saved a huge fight. ;)

I also agree, but am still reeling from the fact she left her 16 yr old daughter in the 'care' of a 19 yr old female, a 22 yr old male, and a 23 yr old male. This sounds more like a double date than any care. And it lasted 3 days. And she didn't even know them that well or check out their background at all. There is definitely more to this story and daughter is definitely lying. Did she and this boyfriend she was with then break up and now she wants to get rid of the reminder of him or get back at him. That's what it sounds more like to me. Probably the police and judge too. I think the only thing this parent is going to get is in trouble for child neglect.

Which is exactly what I said from the beginning. Where is this woman? I guess she realized we were all right. Maybe she went to police and is too embarassed to come back...lol :D

I was dubious of this story from the very beginning. I have a sixteen year old daughter... I see every new pimple (but am careful not to mention it) I can not touch her hair and have not seen her unclothed for awhile because I trust her boundries... but this is ridiculous. We have open communication and I just had to comfort her because her crush asked someone else to the prom.
The reason is because he knew she would "put out" and my daughter would not. How is that for open?
I know my last post here was rambling, but I am not kidding, when my blood pressure goes up I lose coherence.

If the OP does come back, Talk to your daughter... sheesh. Is your older daughter messed up too? 8 months of this being scared... if the story is true... and you can't talk to your mother?

DOC... need blood pressure checked... got a minute?

I have a question relating to this women's case.

State=Minnesota
I am 16 years old, and my friend asked me to pierce her lip. I have pierced many people before, and no one's parents have ever cared, and I have never screwed up on any. I use sterile, hollow, piercing needles, and actual piercing clamps, so it's not like I'm just some teenager piercing people in my room with a dirty safety pin or anything like that. It's all very sterile. (Gloves, sterile wipes, etc.) This girl is 15 years old, she told me that her parents wouldn't care if she got her lip pierced, and she also said many, many times that her parents were going to let her get her lip pierced in October. So she asked me to pierce it, and I did. Then that night, her mom called me and told me that she's going to file a police report on me for piercing her daughter without parent's consent. Can she do that?? I'm a minor, and I was under the impression her parents were perfectly fine with it.
Thank you, and sorry for interupting this already going discussion, this topic was just very close to mine.

Of course they can file a police report! Piercing a lip is not like piercing an earlobe, it is mutalation. You are not licensed to perform body piercing and you didn't have parental consent, just because she tells you she has permission doesn't mean she does.
