What is the name of your state? OR, CA
I got a speeding ticket at the border between CA and OR in CA and mintues later, got another one from OR. In both cases I was going down a hill and the car was speeding up with no intension to exceed the limi.

Any thing I can do to reduce the fines and/or points? They are Siskiyou County in CA, and Jackson County in OR.

My response:

No. Next time, use the larger of your two pedals. That one's the brake pedal.

I mean if I mension in OR court that I had another ticket within mintues and I was reaaly watching my speed (as was reaaly do especially after a ticket!!), would this help me convenice the court that the officer measured/stopped the wrong car or it will be indication that I am reckless driver!!

By all means. Tell the court, "Gee, your Honor. I had just received a speeding ticket a few minutes earlier and thought that gave me a 'free pass' for the next 100 miles".
Then make sure the Judge gives you the credit for the earlier ticket!!

Actually both Oregon and California accept online traffic school. Call the clerk of the court listed on each ticket and see if they will allow you to pay the fine, take online traffic school, and keep the violations off your record.

I posted a link to online traffic school under the "right to see radar gun" thread.

It seems that the majority of your posts are 'take online traffic school'. What is your connection, if any, on these 'schools'??

My business law teacher said that speeding is one offense that they do not have to prove intent. Any comment on this?

Well now isn't that special. Business law? I guess you were in your office chair when you were speeding?

All that means is it's factual. Either you were or you weren't. It doesn't matter if you "intended" to break the law. It's a mater of fact.

Sorry to confuse you there hexeliebe. I wasn't the one who got the ticket. I was just commenting on his remark that he did not intend to speed and that it didn't matter if he intended to or not, speeding is speeding.

Strict liability. This means intent is not an element. Means prosecution does not have prove you intended to violate the code section. The mere fact that it occured sans any mitigating circumstance (where violating the law was safer than abiding by it) you are guilty.
