What is the name of your state? Kansas
I was let go from a small comapany in May of 2004. I had a small amount of money in a 401k there that I'd like to either cash out or move into something else. According to our plan, the plan can be accessed and money withdrawn at year end, which would have been around Dec. 31, 2004. I've been dealing with the adminitrators of the 401k, and they have been telling me that my former employer's payroll company, which is a large, nation wide payroll and benefit administration company, has been unable to get the proper information to the 401k administrator for them to proceed with paying out any monies. Do I have any options in this to speed up the resolution? I've been dealing with the 401k administrators who tell me there's nothing I can do but wait, so I'm not sure what else I could do, if anything. Thanks in advance.
