If there was no arrest and no charges, there is nothing that will show up on any background check. There will be an internal police “incident report” and that is it.

From the sounds of it, you have nothing to worry about. You should worry only if the police contact you and want to ask you questions. Decline. Get an attorney.

My advice on not speaking to the police remains. I will add that you might want to avoid going to bars where there are crazy ladies and their ornery boyfriends/husbands.
