What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida.

Hi. I am a U.S. patent holder from Tampa, Florida, and American citizen, and that means that my property is only protected in the US´s and its territories, okay, good, I know that for years. So, this is my situation:

One lady from Egypt found my patent add and she contacted me. she is an accredited investor for Equity Funding to businesses the United States. Also an PE/VC. She told me about her boss investor (of Turkey) willing to negotiate an outright sale/purchase under mutually agreeable terms or a partnership/joint-venture.

Good, I communicate with her boss that told me that, because of her position/work, can not discuss the possible agreement with some methods of contacting/communication, but only with personal e-mails. Well, I told her that I am only interested in selling outright, nothing else, and I asked for a specific sum of money, who delayed one minute to accept. Excellent, no? Wow, no problem! But the problem is that I need a regional license for making successful the transaction: via wire transfer, so I need to buy it. Without that license she will not do anything.

The other option was, me to get the money face-to-face. But, come on, and tell me I am wrong. If she pay me, I will be later stopped in the airport and that local government will order me to pay a percentage of that sum, right? How I will explain from where it came? Plus, I will be also forced to pay the current local taxes in the States. I am right? Plus, she will say, no, that is not my problem. I gave you the money, now is your problem to take it to the US´s. And, I asked her why she can not come (or send somebody) here and pay me. She is also not willing to come here and pay me directly to my bank account. She is supposed to be a millionaire. Where is the good faith?

And something very peculiar and dangerous for me: she doesn't want me to have attorneys involved in any stage of the negotiations because of her work position and power. So I, who I don't know an atom of businesses and Law, have to trust all the time on her (she neither want me to see her face in webcam, unless if is in person after agreeing the deal) in blind (is she really who she says she is?) if I really want to close the intellectual selling. Also she doesn't want to let her investment be seen. So without the law protection what can happen to me if something goes wrongfully and terribly wrong?

I asked her why she can not (since she is there and have a personal that can do it in her request) buy for me that license and discount it from my payment, but she got mad (remember, all is typing) and told me that is not her ´responsibility´, that is my problem. Now, let´s suppose that I pay that license and she later back-up or find something to get out of the supposed deal, then I will also lose the money invested in that license. Yes, yes, I know, I know... the concept of the riskable situations in the business world. But my opinion is, if she can pay me a seven-digit payment in a moment, why she can not take that six-digit amount (in good faith) and take it directly from my check? Does she really want my patent? Why is not her responsibility? Because I am not a good ¨student¨? Well, if were me and I want something that I really really want,, why don't help it to happens in my favor? She is there, and she knows all in her Geo-business region. Of course that is my personal opinion only.

Is there something hidden and/or potently for a fraud?

If she (as anybody worldwide) can copy/etc my product anywhere without the need to approach to me, why she needs my legal signature in her papers? Wait, that means that she has her lawyers working in her favor, but I had to forfeit my legal power? Come on, that is bias!

What if I finally put my signature and the money never arrive to my bank account?

At what name I would be payed if she doesn't want to allow anybody to see her public investments/transactions? Another foreign person or corporation?

Other/further questions I am supposed to ask her?

To whom are you to wire transfer the "six-digit" license fee?

Assuming you're talking about dollars and not cents, she is asking for in excess of $100,000 on faith, will not meet you or communicate other than via email, and does not want you to contact an attorney?

This is a scam. You will wire transfer the license fee to her account and will never hear from her again, unless it's to try to get more money out of you.
