A gloomy future for Texas...

What is the name of your state? Texas


Texas has a huge population and this worries me. Why? Because there is a store called Save Alot. And the manger is a Hispanic. I've heard from people that they don't even read any other race's applications except for Hispanics. What could be done about this?

In the southwest, that's probably true. Due to a large percentage of the population being Hispanic, those who are bi-lingual definitely have an edge for jobs that deal with both English- and Spanish-speaking customers, employees, and/or clients.

KingKerry - if a company is discriminating in their hiring practices based upon national origin, that is prohibited. You apparently have no first-hand knowledge or experience of what this store's hiring practices are. There is no basis for you to take action based upon what you "heard," which as far as you know may not remotely be true.

By the way, Michael ("You and me both we gotta learn spanish to compete in the job market), you might try mastering English before you try to learn a second language.
