Here is our situation, my husbands 15 yo daughter lives in Greenville MS with her mother, who has custody. We found out via email last Tuesday-daughter is pregnant by mothers 40+ yo boyfriend. She (mother) has turned her phone off. Daughter is not responding to our emails. We contacted CPS the following morning. They took our report, told us they would likely NOT be able to give us any information about the case. We fear the mother is going to take her and leave the state. Does my husband have any legal rights? The child was molested while in her mothers care when she was 4...husband took her for just short of a year, the mother went and filed to have the charges dropped-she said the child lied. The courts in return handed her back to her. We are just overwhelmed...we had been trying to get her to move to Indiana, she wanted too but her mom kept making her feel guilty so she had decided not too.
