Abandoned property?

What is the name of your state? Tennessee

I have property in another state that I haven't seen/talked about in over 3 years. Most of the property is old clothes, childhood stuff, old papers, small household items, etc. Can this be considered abandoned property and excluded from inventory? If not, shall I list the items I recall/# of boxes and their location and wait for court instruction? I cannot afford to travel to take inventory of the items at this time (or in the near future).

When doing inventory, do I need to include my child's possessions - toys and such? What about toys that were gifted to my child?

I'm living with relatives, and just want to clarify that their belongings and house will not be affected by my filing Chapter 7.

Thank you for any insight.

No, you don't include your kid's stuff.

As for the inventory of old stuff stored elsewhere, it all probably has more sentimental value than actual value. While technically it is part of your possessions, how much would all of that stuff be worth in a yard sale ?? Not much. ALL clothes and the trunks to store them in are 100% exempt in TN anyway, I wouldn't worry about the stuff.

Your relative's home and their stuff isn't yours, they will NOT be affected at all. No one is going to come to where you live and start asking questions.
