We are mailing back the petition to our lawyer tomorrow. Some things occurred to me as I was signing my soul to the devil. For example, do they want copies of bank statements when you meet with the trustee? I mean, when we met with our lawyer originally, they asked us to bring copies of that, pay stubs, credit card balances, etc. but the only things they looked at and photocopied were our licenses, w-2's, and pay stubs. Or do the trustees pull up your statements before the meeting and question where you've spent your money and scrutinize everything? Or is it just balances they want and are interested in. I don't know...maybe that's just a dumb question.
I heard the meeting only lasts like 5-10 minutes. Is this true? What can I expect?

what is the name of your state? massachusetts

I can share with you my experience with the 341.

My meeting lasted about 5 minutes. I had a lawyer that told me where I fell on the list that day. I was towards the end of the list, so even though court started at 3:00 pm, I did not have to be there until 3:30.
If it is possible, ask your lawyer for that information. It was really nice not to have to be in there any longer than necessary.

My lawyer told me that the trustee wants to know what the balance of my checking account was the day that I filed. In my case, my statements only show dates of activity, so I could not provide him with that. He didn't ask for them when I was there.

Don't stress about the meeting. If you have been honest in your filing, you have nothing to worry about. My trustee was polite and very brief. I received my discharge papers on Tuesday.

Check with your lawyer, but the standard things to bring with you are your drivers license, social security card and bank statements (3 months is plenty).

our meeting lasted about 3 minutes in front of the trustee.....
questions asked were,

why were you filing...
your SS numbers, pic Id's...
did we have any money coming in the near future, or have we received any in the last year...
then it was good luck to us....

never were we told to bring bank statements or anything other than drivers licenses or SS cards....

people who were pro se were more hassled then us and asked more questions, but our lawyer had his P's and Q's together... your matrix should be up to date as far as Bank statements...
