The Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as
interpreted by the US Supreme
Court provides that a part-time
personal assistant is a reasonable
accommodation for a blind person.I
am an esophageal speaker who
requires part-time help in
speaking. The employer has denied
the request. Are there ADA cases
where the federal courts have
addressed this issue?

The ADA is relatively new in terms of creation and implementation and it is quite recently that cases surrounding this have begun to hit court dockets for interpretation. You shoud try to find an attorney who speciailizes in ADA or at least Employment law to review this matter with you, since there are several factors involved that determine "reasonable accomodation." Many offer free initial consultations! Try AttorneyPages.com for an attorney near you who can help with this!
