What is the name of your state? georgia

why do auto insurance companies want you to name additional drivers who might be driving a car which you are insuring? will your insurance cost more if you name additional drivers? if you let someone drive your car who is not "named" on your insurance and he gets in an accident with your car, is there any difference in what is covered from the coverage if he were "named?"
