Ok, do not know if anyone can help me..

About 15 yrs ago I terminated my parental rights on my duaghter, I was not a good person then, and I'll own up to that. But I had enough sense to give her up to someone that I thought would take care of her. She was adopted by her step mom.
Suddenly one day ourt of the blue her dad calls me and asks me to take custody of her. She is bi-polar, adhd, etc., got kicked out (expelled) of school for selling drugs, and also just left a behavioral/addiction center after 14 months there (which he did not tell me about).
So ok, I take her in, try to give her a fresh start, and she is doing the same thing she was at his house, sneaking out, skipping school, and reaking havoc in her life.
I call him to take her back and he says no I can't, and I won't - well why the hell did he send her to me in the condition she was in ( she has been short termed hospitalized)? I only have a Power of Attorney, so I can't do much (insurance won't pay for long term hospital care), my husband is deployed overseas (no back-up parent, or close relatives), he is not sending any support ( I have paid for everything so far).
He says he will sign over custodial rights? I have a 9 yr old with problems and don't feel like I can give her the help, or support she needs. He is in a two parent home, the make decent money, and he has better support from family nearby than I do. I am seriously considering sending her home on the next plane to him, and what can he do about it if I do? He says he will come after me for back child support.. after 10 yrs or so? Need ADVICE.....

My response:

You need to try my patented and copyrighted "Brazil Method". It works on teenagers with problems every single time.

Want to know more? Just ask.

Okay IAAL, I'm not the original poster, but I'll bite. (I'm almost afraid to ask. LOL) What's the "Brazil Method"?

I may be wrong, but I thought when your parental rights to a child were terminated you have no further legal obligation to the child, your ex could not sue you for child support in any way, as his wife is the other legal parent for the child, he and she are responsible financially for the child.

I, too, would like to hear more about the Brazil Method.....

If the child was legally adopted by step mom you have no more rights or responsibilities than I do to the child. The child is a legal stranger to you.

Do you have a copy of the adoption papers? Is it possible the adoption never went through? If it did, he cannot make you do anything or pay anything. Tell him you will either send the child back to him or send the child to state run foster care, which will cost him and his wife a bundle.

My response:

Why fight? All our writer needs to do is ask about my "Brazil Method". It's cheap, it's efficient, and most of all, it's permanent.
