I am a widow for more than 3 years now and I have a 22 year old adopted daughter who is a 3rd year BS-Nursing student. We adopted her since she was 3 months old and had been using my husband's family name since then. Her adoption did not go through legal process in court, but she was registered as our daughter in her birth certificate, duly signed by me and my late husband as parents. I believe that she has been recognized as "our daughter" by both of our families.

My question is this: Does my daughter have the right to claim inheritance from my late husband's properties? Or, can I claim inheritance for her even if I already re-married 3 months ago?
