We live in California. My sister-in-law is terminally ill. She asked if we would raise on of her children after her death. We have a current foster care license. What will we need to do to adopt my nephew?

Well, because she is terminally ill, there are issues of being of sound mind when terminating her rights. So your best cover...hire an attorney to serve as a mediator between the two of you to facilitate the process.

http://www.attorneypages.com or cali state bar association lawyer referral program.
