I have been married for 4 years and would like to adopt my step-sons. My wife is sure the boys father won't let me. So i would like to do it without his concent. does anyone know how i can. thank you

You can't do it without his consent unless

1. he is no where to be found and measures had been taken to find him.

2. He is found to be infit, and his parental rights are stipped from a judge.

Now, has this man paid child support? Excercise any visitation? If no, then you have a chance.

As always in an adoption case, retain an attorney..Your chances are higher if done properly.
