My boyfriend gave his daughter up for adoption almost three years ago. At that time he and the baby's mother agreed with the adoptive parents to have an "open adoption", in which they would recieve pictures of the child every year on her birthday and updates about how she was doing. My boyfriend and his ex have not recieved any pictures, letters, or calls from the adoptive parents. The adoptive parents have sence moved and changed there phone number, we are worried that this is an effort on their part to disconnect all ties with the baby's biological parents. My boyfriend and his ex girlfriend do not want to cause any trouble with the adoptive parents, nor do they want to in any way challenge custody. They only want to know how their daughter is doing through the pictures and letters that were promised to them. This adoption took place in PA, and they just like to know what their rights are in this matter and I would like any advice you or the other members may have. This agreement was doccumented in the final paperwork, finalized by both parties.Thank You very much for your help, I appreciate it very much!!

Kinda like having your cake and eating it ? They gave up the child so let it go and move on.

Was this agreement stipulated in the adoption paperwork? Or was this a verbal agreement?
