afdc and child support

What is the name of your state? Nevada

I was on afdc from the time i was preganant until the child was 2 years old. Child is alomost 7 years old now. NCP never paid child support. If child support is orderd now wil the money go to welfare or will i recieve support too.

because the state fully supported your, and his financial obligation, any money your ex pays now likely would go to pay the debt owed by both of you for the child. How it would be done I do not know.

We live in TN and my step daughter lives in Alabama, my husband has had issues which got him behind on child support, but the main thing was, she always drew afdc, and in al they also have interest on any balance you have. But when he pays the cs, i think the state gets part, parent gets part. I think there is an arrearage pmt included with the mo. pmt.
