[/B]BTW I think it is really sad that ANYONE would dignify tiredmomny's post with a response.

Another point of interest: Did 'tiredmomny' know she misspelled 'mommy' or was it a freudian slip? (tiredmoney) [/B]

I am sorry that you think it is sad that anyone would dignify tiredmomny with a response. I am one that repsponded to her post and obviously by many of us responding she has slowed down therefore she has realized that she is not liked well here.

As far as her misspelling her name, she didn't, it is tired mom NY (new york)! I am not defending her in anyway but if you want to talk badly about someone do it correctly and with fact!

Thanks to everyone for the support and responses. Just a note to Esimon...I don't find her attitude or lack of concern for her child the least bit entertaining.

I actually have another question....My ss had a 104 fever last night and she sent him to daycare this morning...at which point they called my husband who called me to go get him since I could leave work. She knowingly senthim when he was sick he is now with us sleeping since it was our time to have him anyway. Can we use this to demonstrate her lack of concern. Also she told us last night that she took him to the doctors when he was sick last night. We took him to the doctors today and they said they haven't seen him in a month.

I think you can

I think you can i think that falls under child neclect. My mother had taken my nephew her grandson to the doctor in a small town because he had a temp of 103.7 and they told her she need to quit being a worry wart because she had also taken him the night before for the same reason. (Fever) he was only11 monhts at the time. My mother was furious and drove 1 away to where i live a much larger town. When she admitted him they told her they were going to report her for child neglect since his temp hit 104 and children run a high risk of suffering permanant brain damage from a fever that high for a long time. she explained and showed them ER papers from previous night and that evening. AFter that they choose not to call child welfare and now my sister and mother have a lawsuit against the hospital for patient discrimination and neclect.

okokok... what I MEANT to say was that I think it is sad that *so many* people bothered with an attempt to rationalize with a clearly irrational person. This is my second day at this site and I came here because I thought I would get ~real advice~ for ~real problems~. Oh sure, tiredmomNewYork has a real problem, but that is something only a therapist can fix. Instead, many people choose to psychoanalyze her dysfunction. I was hoping to find a resource I could turn to when scouring the rest of the internet turned up nothing. Instead, what I have seen so far is a soap opera and cooking lessons and a couple of constructive postings. So although I'm very sure that many of you will take offense to this, just know that I am really disappointed, I had much higher expectations when I was referred to this site.

Update: please see my respones to ryry's mom in the thread "Where are all the good mommies"

I'm sorry you feel that way poerpuffgirl. This is a great site for getting advice. It is also a place where many of us have become comfortable with venting when hanging on and taking the high road is becoming overwhelming. I am going to post a post directly too you...I may not have your answers but never know until I hear the question.

To NYMOM...keep your chin up and know that no matter what else happens when that child grows up...actually both children..yours and your stepson.. they will know who loves them and who was there for them.

Tell the daycare to document everything like this if they don't already...let them report her, this is neglect! I worked in daycare for several years and these type of things are reported to CPS if they occur too often.
