i live in pennsylvania and am recently divorced. i have full custody of my daughter and my ex-husband has partial. i would like to move to another state to go to school.there is nothing in our divorce papers or agreement that states i am not allowed to move if i wish.the only paper that states anything is in our domestic relations papers for my child support that requires one week notice to all parties of any change in personal address, or any other type of change in status.so,am i allowed to move using that one week notice or do i have to get his permission as well to relocate with our daughter??

i live in florida so the law may be different. in florida, you must get your exhusbands permission to relocate to another state. i know because i just went through this. i never expected my ex to give me permission but he did. you maywant to offer to pay travel expenses for your ex to see your child a couple of times per year. if that doesnt work call the court house and ask them what you can do. or, call a lawyer that gives free conseltations and ask them. hope this helps.
