My ex-husband signed a martial dissolution for me 2 years ago in the state of Tennessee. At the time he was intoxicated and he pretty much stayed that way the whole time. All papers from my attorney went to his mother's house in which he really wasn't residing there and she never gave him any papers nor did she let him know of his court date. Now he seems to think that he can contest the divorce and the papers would be void because he was pretty much intoxicated during that period of time and can prove he really just got clean a couple of months ago. There is a clause that states "whereas neither party are under the influence of intoxicants or drugs nor is any party experiencing any mental problems or conditions that would affect their judgement other than the stress normally to be excepted in a divorce". Can he do this, Am I really divorced??
