Even though I am party to the Case, in NY city they allow 'Lay Representatives'.

I find this intriguing. Can you back it up with any citations describing what a "Lay Representative" is as it relates to small claims court in the state of New York. Additionally, could you explain why you think you would qualify as a "Lay Representative"?
